Plant –Medium size, spreading foliage, slow emerging (warm seed prior to planting for uniform emergence); medium size stems with red pigmentation near nodes1,2,3; slightly pubescent1,2
Leaves – Large, dark green, closed, slightly pubescent1,2,3; terminal leaflets are ovate, rounded, symmetrical and have small pointed leaf tips; five pairs of large, ovate primary leaves along with four pairs of secondary leaflets1,2; few tertiary leaflets; green petioles with red pigmentation are slightly pubescent1
Flowers – Few, medium size, lavender colored with orange anthers1,2,3; lavender color fades to white near petal tips; cream colored buds with some lavender pigmentation1,2
Tubers – Oval to oblong; smooth, deep red thick skin; white flesh; evenly distributed, shallow eyes1,2,4; medium to long dormancy; medium specific gravity2,3,4
Strengths – High yields of early sized tubers that store well2,3,4; resistant to secondary growth and leafroll net necrosis; moderately resistant to potato leafroll virus, potato virus Y, early blight tuber rot, hollow heart, internal discoloration, blackspot and drought1,2,3,4
Weaknesses – Susceptible to common scab, early blight, late blight, Verticillium wilt, blackleg, seed-piece decay and silver scurf1,2,3,4; unattractive tuber netting and brownish skin color can occur under dry soil conditions2,3; moderately susceptible to potato virus X, Fusarium dry rot, dry rot and bacterial soft rot1,4
